Task manager greyed out in windows XP

Hi Try the following settings :

It could be your group policy settings. Try this:
Start > Run, Type "gpedit.msc", then go User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Ctrl + Alt + Del Options. Set Remove Task Manager to Disabled
